2 Singaporeans injured by bus crash


REMBAU: Two passengers of a woman believed to be Singaporeans were injured in an accident involving cruises and container trucks at Kilometer 231 North-North Expressway here early this morning.

Rembau Fire and Rescue Station Officer, Senior Fire Officer II Dzor Yusoff, said he received an emergency call at 3.27am and hurried to the location near the Linggi Pedas Tol Plaza.

He said eight officers and two co-workers including the Emergency Medical Service (EMRS) arrived at the scene shortly thereafter.

"Upon arrival, we found two 60-year-old victims who had been sent to the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital (HTJ), Seremban for
treatment," he said here today.

Dzor said the inspection found that 25 more passengers and bus drivers besides the lorry driver were not injured in the accident.

It is learned that the accident occurred when the bus hit a container lorry in the middle lane, but the police still investigated the incident.
